Senior Elias Brower is someone you may know for his food reviews on Instagram or maybe as the quiet student in class. Although Elias might not come across as a well-known student, he becomes a whole new person when it comes to robotics, CAD, and other technological activities.

Whether you have talked to Elias or not, he is a senior who is worth having a conversation with, especially if you are interested in the same activities or are just curious about technology.

“I am involved in the robotics club,” Brower said. “I like working together as a team and seeing the finished product and how everything comes together.”

Brower values the skill of being able to work in a team and the satisfaction of the finished product. This has led Brower to making some great memories at the annual FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).

“My favorite memory in high school so far was winning the state competition in robotics during my freshman year,” Brower said. “Then we got to go to Houston for Worlds.”

Success on the robotics team has made Brower more interested in taking his technology skills to the next level after high school.

“After high school, I think I want to do something that involves either CAD or graphic design,” Brower said. “I like to do things with technology, so that’s why I am interested in it.”

Classes like CAD and graphic design can serve as a good experience for a career. As technology has been a passion for Brower, he also has enjoyment with hobbies outside of school.

“I like cooking and doing food reviews outside of school,” Brower said. “It’s usually reviews about food that people may not have heard of.”

As a result of these food reviews posted on Instagram, he has been able to explore different types of food from stores or fast-food restaurants. With all of the interests Brower has, he has also learned some valuable advice and life lessons from high school.

“It’s better to start off strong than try to fix everything later on in high school,” Brower said. “Trying to have a plan throughout high school would have helped me.”
