Ethan M. Cartier, Publishing Editor
If you had told a young Ethan M. Cartier that he would one day be the Publishing Editor at his school’s newsite he probably would have shrugged it off. Having gained many accolades over his years in high school, including becoming a certified journalist through Arizona State University, winning state FTC robotics, and being recognized by the Park County School District One board for excellence in journalism, Cartier has developed a deep love and appreciation for writing both in and out of the classroom.
Being a lifelong fan of movies like Mission: Impossible, Star Wars, and Back to the Future, Cartier one day hopes to write movies of his own to inspire the generation after him just like the movies of his childhood worked to inspire him.
Having been diagnosed with essential tremors [though the name of the disability still makes no sense in his eyes] he has aimed to work tirelessly, not just a student at Powell Highschool and a third-year member of the Prowl, but also on himself being at a higher risk for Parkinson’s Disease during adulthood.
“When I see that face, I see Michael J. Fox,” senior and best friend Kenan Lind said. “Minus the Canadian heritage, [an] actually successful future, and the ability to make a joke. Other than that, entirely Michael J. Fox.”
