Ben Smith, Prowl Reporter
Ben Smith is sarcastic but honest at the same time. Don’t ask him how that makes any sense. PHS Sophmore, Cross Country runner, and obviously, a writer for the PHS Prowl, the “other Ben”, or the “ Ben who always wears shorts”, Ben Smith is friendly and outgoing; if he doesn’t like you, he won’t talk to you. Ben is smart but sometimes can be a slow learner due to his ADHD, especially in math and spelling, which he won’t hesitate to tell you he sucks at. His “talents” include sleeping on the couch with his cat Cooper, taking photos of random things, collecting random things, running, sword fighting, or listening to music, audiobooks, and podcasts. And yes, his real name is James, one of the most common names in the country, James Benjamin Smith.
Ben does have a nerdy/quirky side. He is a chess enthusiast, although his playing skills are a little rusty, and he watches shows about things like Bigfoot or airplane crash documentaries, and people being stung or bitten by various bugs and spiders. He also can have a rather dark sense of humor.
“You can always do more than you think you can, Ben” cross country coach Mrs. Ashley Hildebrand said. “I tell the whole team that before every cross-country race.”
