Thanksgiving vs. Christmas
Some are ready to skip Turkey Day and go straight to the presents

Thanksgiving is arriving soon, and some people are excited while others want it to be Christmas time now.
Stores were selling Christmas decorations by Labor Day, upsetting Thanksgiving lovers. They want to celebrate Thanksgiving before thinking of Christmas shopping. Others don’t care about Thanksgiving and want Christmas to be here today.
“I’m going to cry; I love Christmas,” junior McKenzie Thompson said about her favorite holiday.
Some people think Thanksgiving needs its month to shine and cannot stand Christmas songs in November. They don’t want to think of Christmas trees and decorating until after they have stuffed themselves with turkey.
“They’re annoying, and Thanksgiving comes before Christmas. Let’s just say that,” freshman Sydnee Thompson said about people already singing for Christmas songs.
McKenzie Thompson thinks there are aspects of Christmas that make it better than Thanksgiving. These happen to be her favorite parts of it.
“My favorite part about Christmas is Christmas Eve and your whole family is all gathered around and you’re all opening your Christmas Presents and your Christmas pajamas, and no matter how old you are, everyone puts on their Christmas pajamas and Dad or Grandpa tells the Christmas story.” McKenzie Thompson said about the best parts of Christmas.
Between the two Thompson sisters, the holiday with the better food is different.
“Thanksgiving obviously is better,” Sydnee Thompson said for her favorite food while McKenzie Thompson said Christmas food is better.

I totally agree that Christmas is better than Thanksgiving, which gives you more of a reason to wait until after Thanksgiving to celebrate it. Thanksgiving is a holiday too!
