August 22, 2018

Welcome back, PHS!

Over 550 students, along with the Powell High School staff, kicked off the 2018-19 school year on Wednesday morning. The freshman Ignition program, featuring P.E. teacher Mrs. Charli Fluty dressed as “Doc” from the movie “Back to the Future,” welcomed the Class of 2022.

The afternoon featured an all-class assembly, which included the annual academic letter ceremony.  Students grades 10-12 went through an abbreviated class schedule, while the freshmen completed several team-building activities.
