Our ‘Happy Place’
Uncommon Grounds upgrades to new downtown location
On early release Friday, you likely will see people of all ages packed into this little space as customers wait to order and receive their requests.
Many people would describe the local sit-in coffee shop as their “happy place.”
The little coffee shop known as Uncommon Grounds, previously located on 135 E 2nd St., has relocated to what was formerly known as Wyogurt at 104 N. Bent St.
The urban aesthetic of the shop provides customers the comfort to sit and do homework with the generous free Wi-fi, grab and go with a delicious coffee or even hang out with friends on a cold autumn day.
“I feel like it’s just a very relaxing environment; you can come get drinks and just hang out,” said senior Addie Howard, a barista at Uncommon Grounds.
It’s a more spacious area and serene setting for consumers to lounge in while drinking their favorite beverage.
“It’s a lot bigger, so we’re going to be able to make more food and it doesn’t get as cramped so people are wanting to stay longer and do homework,” Howard said.
