The newly added Blackhawk along with the White House and the colorful trees. Can you find the Three baby Easter eggs in the photo? (Hint: look at the White House)

It’s a bird, it’s a plane … No. It’s a helicopter. The newly added Blackhawk in the green pod is now up; however there are more plans for it.

“We’re still working on robotics and lights so that’s still going to be a few more weeks,” art teacher Mr. James Gilman said. “We’ve been working on this since the first day of school and it’s just taking forever.”

Mr. Gilman also expressed how pleased he was with how realistic the students were able to make the Blackhawk compared to the real deal.

The pod it is located in also features the mini White House and other colorful add-ons. A fun feature that several projects in Powell High School have are the Easter eggs.

“We have Easter eggs for many of our past projects,” Mr. Gilman said. “You can find a space shuttle. You can find unicorns, a train locomotive. You can find the submarine.

Well yeah, President Trump is there, too,

“Those are all represented in there. There is a little Easter egg to Apocalypse Now movie; if you’re a movie buff you’ll find that in there … We’re going to try to do a little more of that with some sound if we get that far.”

Added senior Jacob Harrison: “Did you mention that Donald Trump Easter egg?”

“Well yeah, President Trump is there, too,” Gilman replied.

The Blackhawk helicopter is 17 feet long. Also in that pod is the White House ,which is 5 feet long by 3 feet wide. There is also the Washington Monument, which is 14 feet tall. Then there are the very large murals, all painted by PHS students.

“I don’t know where we’re going next and I don’t know what we’re doing next,” Mr Gilman said.
