Gabi Gernheart is a PHS junior with a strong background in agriculture, especially in rodeo and roping. Gabi is a dedicated FFA member, and it shows. Gabi has been a key part of the horse judging team and has attended many conferences and conventions. Gabi detailed her success in an interview.
Q: What do you think defines the FFA Member of the Month?
A: I think it’s an honor to be declared FFA member of the month, and I think it shows that you care about FFA and that you have a lot of support for it.
Q: How do you feel about being declared the member of the month?
A: I am excited, and I want to help our chapter more in the future.
Q: Why did you join FFA in the first place?
A: I joined FFA because I like agriculture, and I wanted to be a member of the horse judging team.
Q: What Career Development Events, Leadership Development Events, or other events have you been involved in?
A: I’ve done horse judging and [attended FIRE & CPC and State Convention]
Q: What is your favorite FFA Memory?
A: My favorite memory from FFA is last year at FIRE & CPC because I got to meet a lot of new people, and it was really fun to dance
Q: What do you hope to accomplish by the end of your time in FFA?
A: I want to get my state degree before FFA senior year is over, and really, just like, put myself out there for different events.
Q: Do you plan on pursuing a career in agriculture, if so? What and why?
A: Potentially, [I’m] still thinking about it.
