Seniors Hartley Thorington, Natalie Ostermiller and Kourtney Rowton reminisce about the 2017-18 yearbook.

Forty years from now you are sitting on your couch with your brand new spouse. All of a sudden high school comes up in the conversation.

You run to the closet to grab your yearbook. And there they are: Pictures of crazy hair and old friends walking the halls. The many memories that the yearbook holds can bring back all the fun times that you had in your high school years.

Yearbooks have been on sale in Adviser Mr. Mike Heny’s room for $40. The theme for the yearbook for the academic year 2017-18 is Welcome to the Jungle, and page topics include sports, Fortnite, Prom and as always the school pictures.

“I bought a yearbook so I can look back at all my friends and the memories we had together,“ junior Hannah Saville said.

Many people buy a yearbook for this purpose so they can look back and see how people changed and the good and the bad memories that were high school.

“I am very involved in each yearbook to ensure that the book is of a high quality and includes as many different aspects of the year at PHS as possible,” Mr. Heny said.

Making a yearbook requires much effort from the students from taking pictures and making pages to Mr. Heny editing spreads and coordinating coverage. He has the final edit for all the pages.
