This year, Snowcoming will take place from Feb. 10 to Feb. 14.

Powell High School’s Snowcoming week will be full of dress-up days, a Friday night dance (Feb. 14) and lots of Panther and Lady Panther sports to support. This year, Snowcoming will be put on by PHS’ Student Council.

Funds raised during Snowcoming week will go towards Make-A-Wish. The money raised will add to funds raised during Make-A-Wish week, which will take place from March 30 to April 3.

“[The] design is to support the winter sports and get people involved in attending activities,” said Student Council Vice President Hailee Paul. “We have senior night for basketball…and wrestling so we figured that’d be a good time to get lots of involvement.”

Panther Wrestling will take on the Cody Broncs at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. The PHS basketball teams also will play that night, facing the Burlington Huskies in Burlington at 5 pm. and 6:30. 

The Panther and Lady Panther Basketball teams will be playing the Thermopolis Bobcats at 4 p.m., 5:30 and 7 on Friday, Feb. 14. 

Dress-up days are as follows: 

Monday, Feb. 10: Sports Day (wear a hat for $1)

Tuesday, Feb. 11: Panther Pride Day

Wednesday, Feb. 12: Decades Day

  • Seniors: ’80s
  • Juniors: ’70s
  • Sophomores: ’60s
  • Freshmen: ’90s
  • Staff: 2000s

Thursday, Feb. 13- Throwback to Middle School Day 

Friday, Feb. 14- Cancer Color Tie-Dye Day (Wear a mix of pink for Breast Cancer, purple for Pancreatic Cancer, teal for Ovarian Cancer, etc.)
